World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims 2013 in Republic of Macedonia

The Republic Council on road traffic safety has coordinated the activities of the partner institutions for World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims 2013:

  • Press-conference at the Republic Council on Road Traffic Safety held on November 14th 2013
  • Organization of round table on November 16th in Skopje entitled “How to reduce traffic accidents with fatalities” with participants from partner institutions from various sectors
  • Engagement of Commission for relations with confessional communities and religious groups through mentioning of road traffic victims during the religious services: November 15th, during the Friday services at mosques, November 16th, during Saturday service at the Jewish community and November 17th, during Sunday’s liturgies in all churches
  • Activities at local communities throughout the country, completed by the municipalities in close collaboration with the Republic Council on Road Traffic Safety and other institutions and media on local level Central activities on 17th November in Skopje:
  • Distribution of “Traffic book 2” and brochure to children and other citizens on several locations in Skopje.
  • Organization of art workshop in the Shopping Mall. The workshop was titled “Flowers for precaution in traffic”, guided by famous painter Zivko Popovski – Cvetin with primary school children from municipality Aerodrom.

The Ministry of interior, Ministry of transport and communications, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Labor and social policy, Minsitry of Local Self Government, Institute of public health, World Health Organization, Red Cross of Macedonia, , Center for crisis management, Commission for relations with religious communities and Macedonian automobile association participated on these activities.
