The Prince Michael International Road Safety Awards recognize achievements and innovations which will improve road safety. Each year the most outstanding examples of international road safety initiatives are given public recognition through the scheme. These awards are organized and managed by Road Safe (http://www.roadsafetyawards.com/).
It gives us great pleasure to inform you all that the RTIRN won the 2010 Prince Michael International Road Safety Award (http://www.roadsafetyawards.com/international/view.aspx?winnerid=234). We are very proud and honored for this highly distinction that our network has received from the international community. The award will be presented by The Prince Michael Himself to RTIRN – Dr. Adnan Hyder as Chairman will receive it – during the UN Road Safety Collaboration meeting on 11 April, 2011 in London.
We would like to thank all of our partners for making RTIRN what it is today! We would also like to extend our thanks to our current and previous funders the Global Forum for Health Research; the Global Road Safety Facility of the World Bank; the Department of Violence, Injuries and Disability of the World Health Organization; the George Institute for Global Health – and all our partners for believing in RTIRN.
Congratulations!!!
