RTIRN session at Safety 2022

Safety 2022- a time to reconnect, reinvigorate and reimagine injury prevention

The 14th World Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion (Safety 2022) was held from 27th to 30th November 2022 in Adelaide, Australia. This was hosted by the Public Health Association of Australia and co-sponsored by the World Health Organization under the theme: reconnect, reinvigorate and reimagine injury prevention. The conference final programme and abstract booklet can be downloaded here.

During the conference, the RTIRN held a panel discussion session on ‘What appeals to donors in a proposal: Learning from colleagues & donors” as part of the Global Road Safety Leadership Course workshop at the Safety 2022 conference on 27th November 2022. The aim of the session was to provide guidance to early career researchers and practitioners on how to write a solid project proposal, what donors look for in a proposal, examples of projects that have been funded, and some of the challenges and opportunities encountered by researchers and practitioners. This panel discussion offered the perfect opportunity for funders, researchers and practitioners to interact and understand each other’s needs and expectations.
