RTIRN Business meeting
Held on March 16 2008, the RTIRN business meeting welcomed both existing and potential partners. The purpose of the meeting was to inform the participants about the current and future programs of RTIRN, introduce the new Secretariat, and seek input on the functioning of the Network. After a welcome note and introduction to the RTIRN Board by the Board Chair, Professor Robyn Norton, several board members spoke to the participants about past activities and future vision and plans of the RTIRN. The activities planned to be undertaken as part of the World Bank Road Safety Facility Grant that RTIRN received in January 2008 were also announced at the meeting. The meeting ended with an open question session and a chance for all the partners to interact and share their views about the network’s future direction. The network welcomed many new partners at the meeting, who signed up to join and share their enthusiasm and perspective on road 
traffic injuries research.
