October 6th, 2012.- RTIRN Board Member Dr. Hamid Soori was awarded for the most outstanding researcher work on prevention and control of road traffic injuries in Iran.
The award was received from the hands of Iranian president Dr Ahmadinejad. This is a national award and is the first time that is presented to a research center in this field.
It is because of the hard works that Dr. Hamid’s research center has done to decrease the number of fatal RTIs in Iran. The fatal RTIs in Iran were 27,800 in 2005 and it has been reduced to about 19000 in 2012.
