The RTIRN, the Entornos Foundation and the National Institute of Public Health organized this Regional Workshop in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico on June 16th. A multidisciplinary audience of more than 70 individuals attended this workshop that was held at the National Institute of Public Health’s facilities in Mexico. National and International experts, like Dr. Olive Kobusingye (Ghana), Dr Melekizedek (OMS-Switzerland), Dr. Leticia Ávila Burgos (INSP-México), Dr. Martha Hijar (INSP-México), Dr. Hamid Soori (Iran), Dr. Shanti Ameratunga (UA-New Zealand), Dr. Alfredo Celis (UDG-México), Msc. Bernardo Baranda (ITDP-México), and Hugo Barrera Muciño (CENAPRA-México) participated at the event, sharing their research experience on pedestrian injury prevention. Some regional guests from Central America attended this event, such as Dr. Julio Rocha from Nicaragua, Dr. Ana Marina Tzul-Tzul from Guatemala, Dr. Mariela de los Ángeles Hernández-Sánchez from Cuba and Dr. Silvia Garcia from El Salvador.
The event was a success. There was a lot of interest on the assistants for the information presented by the speakers involved in the Workshop.
