Managing speed is the theme of the Fourth UN Global Road Safety Week to be held 8-14 May 2017. The Week offers a springboard for lasting change towards slower speeds. Slow Down Days in urban areas, to be organized in communities all around the world, will be a key component of the Week’s activities at local level.
WHO has prepared a Toolkit that aims to support preparation of Slow Down Days.
The Global NGO Alliance have grants between 100USD-2000USD available for Members to organise Slow Down Days in your community. The Toolkit provides ideas and advice for the organization of Slow Down Days to be held with limited or no resources. Priority is given to submissions that actively use the Toolkit and clearly outline objective, plans, involve media and report on the day.
Submit your proposal HERE no later than 18 April COB. Late submissions will not be accepted.
